The Challenge
IMB is a young, dynamic financial services company. They approached us with a challenge they were facing. Customers were not engaging actively with their online site when it came to managing their personal finances. The process for registering on the online site was too arduous. The client required a more swift and user-friendly approach in order to get his customers to engage with the online product in a quicker and interactive manner.
The Solution
We advised the client to launch a mobile application from where the IMB customer would be able to manage their personal finances by simply logging in from their mobile device with immediate accessibility and less hassles. The mobile app would be developed with a more simplified approach – an easier functionality, menu layout and general design.
Although this has become an ongoing project where we are constantly improving on the user-experience, we developed the IMB Money App from the ground up, enabling anyone in South Africa with a valid passport or South African ID to receive and send money to relatives and friends as well as purchase items safely and securely.
The Result
The launch of the mobile application resulted in the growth of user sign-ups. The mobile app also boosted the client’s marketing efforts as it offered an extension via a mobile device and supported the brand as a whole. Since the launch of the app, there was a noticeable improvement (decrease) in customer support queries as users were finding it simpler to navigate, with better functionality capabilities when sending or receiving money or paying for items.
